About

Paper & Lamp is a small shop, still opening its doors. The idea is simple: a short shelf of things for the hours when the phone is put away and nobody quite knows what to do next. A puzzle. A game of cribbage. A hoop of embroidery that will take three evenings and be worth every one.

It's run by Elizabeth, who also makes Dumb Phone Picker, a guide to simpler phones.

A few house rules

• We'll say exactly what something is, who made it, where it ships from and how long it takes.
• No fake sales, no countdown clocks, no "only 2 left."
• If something arrives broken, we'll make it right. That's the whole policy, more or less.

We're not doctors and we don't have a method. We just think evenings are nicer with the lamp on.
